Any role would be primarily development-oriented and may involve some degree of system administration.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following technical skills:
- Object Oriented Analysis and Design
- Java and JavaServer Pages
- Relational database technologies including MySQL, Oracle and Hibernate
- XHTML, CSS, DOM and JavaScript

Future Medium Pty Ltd provides a mix of complicated services and products for web-based initiatives. In order to provide customers of Future Medium with a transparent and reliable relationship our product / service mix delivery must be project managed by an experienced and highly competent individual.
Future Medium is engaged by its customers in four different ways:
- Project Roll-outs. (Full or Part Product/Service Mix)
- Outsourced Services and Support (Referred to as Bulk Hours)
- Change Requests

To be suitable for the position you would need to be able to demonstrate an extremely articulate personality with an enthusiasm towards managing a huge list of competing projects for demanding high-end government and commercial customers. We are looking for a competitive and motivated professional with a great deal of internet experience.
You would most likely have experience as an account manager, a project director, and some sales experience. You will most definitely be someone that is excited about the web and have been involved in web projects for some time.
Unlike an assembly line Future Medium's web projects are often varied and creative in nature, sometimes innovative and reaching into the unknown. These pressures form part of the challenge and controlled innovation / ability to complete complex tasks are part of Future Medium's value proposition. Therefore the Project Manager at Future Medium must be experienced and highly conversant in web technologies and methods as the project manager is often pushed into complicated situations where domain specific knowledge is required. Extensive web knowledge is therefore mandatory as it allows a number of additional functions to occur:
- Resolve complicated problems and be able to evaluate risk minimisation options for both FM and the client. i.e. reduce dependencies on other skilled resources
- Account for scope creep and identify or even suggest new sales opportunities. i.e. generate revenue
You will be supported by a project administration team, a number of proprietary project management tools (Intranet/Extranet) and enterprise grade issue resolution software.
Remuneration for the position is negotiable and may include a performance bonus structure for someone capable of not only servicing Future Medium's customers but also being able to generate additional revenue in the process.
