Senior Developer
As Senior Internet Developer, Garths' role includes the requirements analysis of new projects and the planning, development and maintenance of complex web-based applications. In developing these systems Garth utilises a variety of content management systems (CMS's), relational database driven systems and secure payment gateways as well as other emerging technologies. Garth specialises in system administration, developing and maintaining standalone database driven websites, and e-commerce enabled B2C and B2B sites utilising payment gateways. His daily tasks include the analysis and provision of technical time estimates and task allocation for current and potential projects. He works closely with the design team to assess and implement graphical site designs whilst also implementing CMS's and the associated infrastructure of web-based applications.
Garth matriculated (TCE) at the Hutchins School in 1997 with a strong Engineering focus. After a brief period studying an engineering degree at the University of Tasmania, Garth had a change of interest and took up computer programming. Garth now holds a science degree with a major in Computer Science although his core web design skills were self-taught.
