Future Medium have worked on a number of projects for The TOTE. The most prominent of which are the event sites for the Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival and the Inter Dominion Carnival.
Designing and planning for event sites poses some unusual questions. The sites are typically viewed in a 'peak season' fashion, and are rather heavily updated and altered throughout the event dates. The sites have both been produced to allow sufficiently dynamic appearance in off-season times but spring to life with triggers within the CMS environment to override the presentation of certain pieces of content. Thus ensuring the site can be as dynamic and responsive to the topic as possible without requiring large developer overheads, alteration, or monitoring.
