In collaboration with EG design, Future Medium are extending the functionality of the TSO's website to include content managed ticket information. This will allow prompt and accurate information releases to site visitors.
The new TAFE Tasmania service enables lodgement of applications electronically for the 2005 TAFE Tasmania Fixed Term Employment Register.
Tasmanian Convention Bureau (TCB) recently appointed Future Medium to produce a CMS powered website displaying information relevant to current TCB members, clients, media, and stakeholders.
The website will promote and sell Tasmania as the perfect meeting place. This will be accomplished by direct translation of the TCB's current press material to an online searchable environment.
TCB members will be given secure access facilities to modify their own web-listing information so as to keep the website up-to-date and valuable to conference and meeting planners.
A unique Internet marketing campaign will be configured and initiated at the time of release so that the TCB development will immediately receive high-ranking results in popular search engines.
Coinciding with the recent alliance formed with Squiz, and the strong sales efforts of the past quarter, Future Medium have expanded to 8 staff. We are also utilising various contractors to fulfil our commitments.
2005 is set to see FM take an even greater number of suitably experienced and qualified Tasmanians.
The forecast increase is a doubling or tripling of the core team by mid 2005.
Claudia Tietge, a fourth year Industrial design student from the University of Applied Science of Magdeburg in Germany, has commenced an Internship at Future Medium.
Claudia specialises in interface and information design. She is working with our design team to produce interfaces for web applications and Internet sites.

Future Medium have been commissioned to design and develop an online product catalogue for Precision Jewellers of Hobart.
The website will be rich in visual material and demonstrate the service abilities and jewellery design services offered on site in Collins Street.
Stuart Campbell, a recent University of Tasmania graduate, joined Future Medium on October 22nd.

Future Medium are working with Tote Tasmania to produce a dynamic site for the Interdominion race event to be held in Tasmania in 2006. The site will feature innovative event article management, powered by Autopublish (the CMS).
Future Medium will assist Mountain Maid to convey health and lifestyle benefits of their highly regarded range of cider based products through an effective promotional website.
FM have been signed to produce a dynamic member driven Internet site for the Australian F1 Superboat series. The project kicked off in Sydney last week with the assistance of the Three Arrows Group in Pymble, NSW.
Future Medium have formed an alliance with Sydney-based company Squiz.net to provide local support for Tasmanian MySource Matrix implementations.
Specifically Squiz.net will be contracting the management services of the directors of Future Medium for projects within the Tasmanian Government.
The relationship was formalised in Sydney this week.
Squiz and FM share a common culture, motivation and work ethic. Both companies strongly support open source technologies and solutions.

Welcome to Amanda Bergmann
Amanda joined FM to relieve early growing pains. Her bubbly personality has been welcomed by all. Her focus is on maintaining and developing good client relationships. Her daily duties include fielding and referring enquiries, scheduling 'check-up' meetings, company promotion, project management, account management, and human resource management.
Amanda joined Future Medium after 5 years in demanding customer service and project coordination roles within local government in Tasmania.
Amanda's long history of customer service and client management makes her an ideal candidate for this newly created position. She is highly trained in customer service management, interpersonal communication and negotiation.
The Australian Hotels Association Tasmania in association with ICON Brand Management have commissioned FM to adapt their content management technology to integrate with Adobe Indesign CS. The autopublish product has been utilised to produce XML data ready for inclusion in an upcoming Tourism catalogue, whilst simultaneously distributing information to an Internet directory in the appropriate format.
The system handles a mixture of print-ready and web-ready material allowing all content to be administered by one web-based interface.
This radical solution to providing up-to-date and low maintenance print productions (such as catalogues) is believed to be the first of its kind in the market place.
Glen Johnson and Patrick Herrera formed Future Medium Pty. Ltd (ACN: 109 175 724), of which they are the sole shareholders and directors.
