TOTE's AAMI Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival has been given a new look for 2006. The Carnival is one of the biggest annual events for TOTE, and therefore requires the best possible coverage for locals and interstate/international visitors alike.
The 2006 site redesign was implemented by Future Medium and reflects the fun and frivolity of the carnival season. It's also the central point for information relating to events and races, utilising autopublish technology to make sure all information is managed effectively and efficiently. Punters and party-goers alike can also use the site to book an event or place a bet.
The TOTE Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival is sure to be a hit on what is touted as a hot year for racing - with the famed Inter Dominion carnival following closely on its heels.

We are proud to announce the launch of one of this year's most interesting and challenging public website projects: the new Connect Financial site.
Connect Financial and Future Medium have had a long and prosperous relationship together. Future Medium worked closely with Connect Financial's marketing team to ensure the new project was implemented in the best way possible to leverage the new Connect Financial brand. The site also had to maintain a strong customer-focussed environment to help existing online clients adapt to the new online offerings.
Coupled with a strong television advertising and marketing strategy, the site is yet another example of Future Medium's ability to build upon, and strengthen brand identity in the online environment.

On 8 December Future Medium was host to the TasIT Christmas Event. The event included a presentation by Piero Peroni from the New Ventures Group of Aurora Energy, discussing Broadband over Powerline (BPL). The presentation focussed on Aurora's involvement in this new technology, and also discussed some of the opportunities and issues that have been raised in relation to it.
The event was a great success with an excellent turnout of some of Tasmania's IT industry leaders and business owners.
Due to burgeoning company growth, Future Medium sought the expertise of business consultant David Vitale of ROCG Portfolio People Consulting to assist with the company's future business and marketing strategies.

David is now a consultant for ROCG, an international network of business consultancies that draws on a broad range of skills in various fields to ensure all clients get the most informative and beneficial advice and guidance possible.

Changes are afoot for Blundstone, with the release of their newly refurbished website.
The changes incorporate a new Advanced Search system of their product range, and improvements to the product catalogue. The project also included a facelift to the graphical elements to give the site a new look and feel. This includes a revised approach to the home page and revisions to the navigational elements and colour scheme.
The Blundstone site has been a highly successful venture for the company. Its site architecture was well thought out at the original development stage (implemented in 2003), and thus the site has endured, requiring only amendments to keep it fresh and relevant.
Future Medium has had a rewarding relationship with Blundstone and thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to work with such an enduring brand.

After an extensive planning process and a detailed implementation of the autopublish CMS we have produced a website with a high degree of inter-dependent articles and data.
The result for Ochre's customers is that a high level of content relevance has been achieved for product and support material. Much of the content contained in the CMS has relevance flagging capability which allows the content editors to tag articles of support or resource nature to either a product or an industry sector. The direct benefit of this is that both existing customers and prospective customers are able to efficiently gather together bundles of information that relate specifically to their needs.

"Since the website was launched on 17 January we have received some very positive feedback from existing clients who have commented that it is extremely useful and helpful." says Vin Barron, Chief Executive of the Tasmanian Conventions Bureau.
"We have also found that the site is creating new business for us, with prospective meeting planners visiting the site, but also then choosing to contact us for additional assistance and information.
The planning facility in particular is popular with meeting planners and we expect the website to be one of our leading marketing tools…We are now working closely with our members while they modify their own web-listing information regarding their products and services."

The ConveyIT product integrates and controls the full conveyancing process, both within law firms and with third party stakeholders such as banks and land titles offices. Future Mediums design solution will carefully address the broad range of site visitors by visually identifying with and directing each visitor to their requirements in the quickest and simplest manner possible.
