Project Management
Working towards agreed business outcomes whilst remaining transparent and in touch with each stakeholder.
Future Medium has a demonstrated history of independently managing and completing projects to success even when stakeholders hold a minimal role in the process. The ability to work effectively under those conditions has not been through choice but through clear necessity to complete projects where, on occasion, clients wish to provide us only with an idea and not be part of the solution.
Our preference is that the client appoints one clear point of contact for approval processes and project discussion. We prefer to work closely with the appointed contact at all stages of the development and insist on providing update reports regularly throughout projects. We enjoy working with those who desire a hands-on approach and are enthusiastic about sharing our process and creativity. For situations where our key contact changes during a project we request introductory meetings with the new contact so that we may offer the person a tour of our facilities and processes, with the hope of establishing an ongoing relationship.
Staff interactivity is very important to us and we like our client appointed contact to meet with each person of our team to observe and interact with them in their role in the development. For correspondence projects we request regular phone hook-ups and present strict email-based project updates to the contact.
FM has spent many years refining its project development cycles. Specification and planning is key to successful project completion. The specification process typically begins with a tour of the clients' facilities, meetings with relevant decision makers and influential people and obtaining a clear understanding of the clients' business goals and operations. It is important for us to know our client before starting creative and functional work.
The projects are divided into technical leadership, graphical leadership, and client management. A relevant unit leaders is assigned to any given project so that each client has only one point of contact for their project. History has shown that each 'case manager' develops a close working relationship with the client and hence opens up channels for the free flow of ideas and conversations.
Successful project management may be confirmed by speaking with any one of FM's customers. If you would like to speak to one of our clients for a reference please contact FM for suitable contact details.
Future Medium custom-developed its own project management solution for charting, logging, and reporting on workloads and tasks of each individual within the business. A project manager, at the beginning of each project, configures this custom software by assigning tasks and times for completion. Deadlines, task dependencies, file repositories, and staff productivity levels are documented within the software. The software allows accurate reports and updates to be provided to managers and clients alike at any stage throughout the development. The current, scheduled and completed tasks may be monitored remotely via a web browser if required.
The client can if necessary be notified of when certain stages are taking longer than expected for budget requirements, or if there are hours left on a particular task or project for additional enhancements to be made.
FM possesses a high-level of technical facilities for testing and developing sites before the live deployment. Live servers are managed at a secure off-site location by our own staff and backup facilities are provided.
Names and briefs of each staff person allocated to a typical project are provided in the team section.
