The success of any development, whether it is a website, intranet or other application, hinges largely on the content it contains and presents.  Recognising that fact has prompted us to focus on developing better ways to create, manage and distribute content.  How this is achieved from a technical point of view is discussed in this section; the next section covers the ancillary activities that support this process.

Future Medium (FM) specialise in dynamic, data-driven websites, systems and applications.  We combine high-level design skills with easy-to-use content management systems to produce systems which are engaging, informative and manageable by the client.  We have our own content management system (CMS) autopublish which is currently utilised to drive the websites and intranets of over 80 clients.  This system builds on over 6 years experience in internet-development, and is highly aligned to the needs of small-to-medium size client developments.  Future Medium also has experience in developing for, and deploying, open source content management systems.  Our development process is not restricted to our own product.  We evaluate CMS needs on a per project basis.

As an active supplier and developer of a CMS product we are in a strong position to deal with project stakeholders and determine how a CMS can be best used to solve our client's problems, and make their jobs more efficient.  We are familiar with CMS terminology and processes, and will be of great assistance in building websites that best allow end-users to take control of their content and structure.  Our experience places us in a position best able to support any issues that may arise during implementation and any customer service enquiries after final deployment.

In our home state of Tasmania, we are the only developer who has a 'proven' web content management system, and are considered leaders in this area.
